My Fingerprint Flower Dress Honors the Students Who Helped Me Grow as a Teacher
"Before I finished my time student teaching, I knew I wanted to make something special with my students. I had seen a viral trend where other student teachers let their students draw all over a graduation dress and decided to put my own spin on it. I gathered my supplies and let my pre-K students cover my dress in fingerprint flowers. Those tiny fingerprints come from all the lives I touched this year through student teaching. To me, the flowers represent the growth that I saw in my students and myself. This beautiful dress will serve as a reminder of where I started and the wonderful children that helped me become a teacher. I cannot wait to wear it for years to come in my teaching career." - @meg.fontana

Two Living Learning Laboratory Schools...on lsu's campus
The College of Human Sciences & Education is home to LSU’s youngest academic community members. The Early Childhood Education Laboratory School (ECELP) and the University Laboratory School (ULS) are innovation hubs for creativity and experimentation, application of new knowledge and research, discoveries, and problem-solving processes. They are places to learn from challenges and mistakes. These schools encourage children to try new ideas, take risks, and continue to grow as learners.
ECELP is a Reggio Emilia-inspired research facility that is aligned with undergraduate and graduate programs in early childhood education. ECELP is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and educates children six weeks old through four-year-olds.
ULS is a K-12, model demonstration laboratory school opened in 1915. For more than 100 years, the Cub Community has aspired toward total effort in every endeavor for maximum student achievement through developing, implementing, and demonstrating exemplary programs and instructional practices.
