Energy Data Tools for Louisiana
The Center for Energy Studies at LSU has developed a suite of interactive web applications and comprehensive databases pursuant to the requirements of Revised Statute 36:358. These digital tools are designed to serve as Louisiana's central repository for energy-related data, providing policymakers, researchers, industry professionals, and the public with accessible, up-to-date information on the state's energy resources, production, demand, and economic impacts.
Our team has created specialized applications that transform complex energy datasets into user-friendly interfaces, allowing stakeholders to visualize trends, download customized datasets, and access critical information to support informed decision-making. Each application focuses on specific aspects of Louisiana's energy landscape, from production statistics to infrastructure mapping, creating a comprehensive picture of the state's energy ecosystem.
Below you will find descriptions of our current online applications, with more modules in development as part of our ongoing commitment to building a "central, comprehensive, and unified energy data and information program" in accordance with our statutory mandate.
