                                          The Provost's Fund for Innovation in Research programs are available to tenured, tenure-track
                                                or research faculty at LSU A&M. Please visit the LSU Internal Grants & Competitions Portal for the application guidelines for each program.
                                          Citizenship or residency are not criteria for applications.
                                          The purpose of these programs is to leverage institutional funds towards interdisciplinary
                                                center-scale proposals and funding. If applicants identify private sector funding
                                                that will support a multi-year, multi-million dollar project, these programs could
                                                be utilized. Please note that subawards are not allowed on Provost's Fund awards.
                                          All collaborations will be considered.

                                          Faculty Research Grants proposals need only address one of the pentagon areas which
                                                are broad and inclusive of all disciplines.
                                          No, the research pentagon areas are broad and inclusive, and can touch upon all disciplines
                                                across campus.
                                          The purpose of these programs is to leverage institutional funds towards interdisciplinary
                                                center-scale proposals and funding. If an existing interdisciplinary team is working
                                                towards center-scale funding, consider the Big Ideas program. You may apply if you
                                                have a current externally funded project. However, faculty who hold a current, unexpired
                                                Big Idea research grant are not eligible to apply.
                                          Yes, the provided budget templates are pre-populated with the correct fringe benefit
                                                and tuition remission rates.
                                          All proposals are reviewed by a variety of peer faculty, external panels, and faculty
                                                administrator panels with final determinations made by ORED leadership. Please visit
                                                the LSU Internal Grants & Competitions Portal for the application guidelines for each program to include evaluation criteria.
                                          Fringe benefits and GA health and tuition remission must be included in your budget.
                                                However, indirect costs do not apply.
                                          Yes, School of Veterinary Medicine faculty are eligible.
                                          Faculty in the College of Agriculture are eligible. However, faculty with a 100% appointment
                                                to the AgCenter are not eligible for these programs.
                                          Late proposals will not be accepted.
                                          No, all proposals for the Provost's Fund for Innovation in Research should be submitted through InfoReady, the University's internal grants and competitions portal.
