The Provost's Fund for Innovation in Research programs are available to tenured, tenure-track or research faculty at LSU A&M. Please visit the LSU Internal Grants & Competitions Portal for the application guidelines for each program.

If applicants identify private sector funding that will support a multi-year, multi-million dollar project, these programs could be utilized. The purpose of these programs is to leverage institutional funds towards interdisciplinary center-scale proposals and funding. If an existing interdisciplinary team is working towards center-scale funding, consider the Big Ideas program. You may apply if you have a current externally funded project. However, faculty who hold a current, unexpired Big Idea research grant are not eligible to apply.

All proposals are reviewed by a variety of peer faculty, external panels, and faculty administrator panels with final determinations made by ORED leadership. Please visit the LSU Internal Grants & Competitions Portal for the application guidelines for each program to include evaluation criteria.

Fringe benefits and GA health and tuition remission must be included in your budget. However, indirect costs do not apply.
